Registration in advance isn’t necessary, meaning you can use this service right away. Read below for more information about Mokumflex!
Mokumflex is an addition to regular public transport, available in the Driemond and Landelijk Noord areas (Durgerdam, Holysloot, Ransdorp, Schellingwoude and Zunderdorp). If you need transportation to or from these areas, you can travel by Mokumflex taxi for a small fee.
For transfers from a Mokumflex area to a destination elsewhere in the city or to Schiphol Airport, you can use our regular taxi service. Order a taxi day and night via this website or with the Staxi App.
How does Mokumflex work?
Booking a Mokumflex taxi is very simple. Please keep reading to find out how it works.
1. Registering is not necessary
Pre-registration is not needed; even if you’ve never used Mokumflex before, you can travel right away!
2. Book a ride
Book your Mokumflex taxi through the booking form on this page. Select the stop where you want to be collected from the dropdown menu. You’ll find all stops and routes on the map below.
You can order a flex taxi up to 45 minutes in advance, and you can take up to 5 extra passengers with you. The person who makes the booking will also pay the personal contribution for all passengers.
It’s possible to make reservations by phone as well. You can even book via WhatsApp! However, it’s necessary to issue a direct debit authorisation in advance when you want to book by telephone. You can give a mandate digitally. When booking, state your name to the operator, and we will book your ride on account!
3. Pay the personal contribution
The personal contribution of € 2.75 per passenger can be paid in advance with iDeal, PayPal and credit card. Do you prefer to pay afterwards? That’s only possible if you reside in The Netherlands. Download the mandate form, enter the required information, sign it digitally and send it to mokumflex@staxi.nl.
When you fill, sign and send the form digitally, it’ll take up to five days to process it. Of course, you can also print the mandate and return it through physical mail. It will then take a little longer to process your authorisation. We collect the contribution at the beginning of each month.
4. Travel
We’ll pick you up at the stop you’ve requested. We’ll never deviate from this location. However, we do employ a time frame of eleven minutes around your requested time. The flex taxi appears at most one minute before to ten minutes after the booked time. Make sure you are ready on time; If the driver has a follow-up schedule, he may not be able to wait for you longer than 10 minutes!
Twenty minutes before the pickup time, you’ll receive a text message with a link to see the taxi arriving on a live map. Five minutes before the driver arrives at the stop, he or she will call you.
Possibly, you’ll travel together with other flexers; Mokumflex is combined transport. By combining passengers on the same route, we limit the number of vehicle movements as much as possible. In this way, we help to keep the surroundings peaceful and the air clean.
Where?
In the Landelijk Noord region, you can order a flex taxi at one of the stops of the former GVB lines 30 and 31. The taxi runs to Station Noord, but you can get off at any stop you like. You can also travel on to Zuiderzeeweg, to change to tram line 26.
In (the surroundings of) Driemond, we drive the same route as GVB line 49, between Station Weesp and Station Gaasperplas. There are also four additional, designated Mokumflex stops in Driemond:

When?
Our flex taxis run daily from 07:00 AM until 08:00 PM. Are you travelling outside these times? Then book a Staxi for a fixed price!
Mokumflex is not available on public holidays.

How much does a taxi cost?
You will get a fixed price when you pre-book a taxi with us. The exact fare depends on several things:
The distance of the ride
Of course, you will pay less for a shorter ride. However, our rate per kilometre decreases as the total distance increases. That is unique because most taxi companies offer a metered fare based on a fixed amount for each kilometre. As a result, you are off cheaper with Staxi than with other taxi companies.
The type of vehicle
A ride in a regular taxi is cheaper than a ride in a taxi van. When you pre-book your taxi with us, the cost difference between a minibus taxi and a sedan is smaller than when you flag down a cab on the street or get in at a taxi rank. In that case, the driver will charge the meter rate, which is more expensive than our fixed rates.
Supply and demand
Just like a plane ticket or a night in a hotel, the fare for the same trip can fluctuate depending on supply and demand. For example: in extreme weather conditions, such as heavy snow, the need for taxi transport increases rapidly, which makes the price rise. The same journey can also be a lot cheaper, for instance, travelling at a quiet time.
As such, Staxi works with peak and off-peak hours. Our software automatically adjusts the fares based on supply and demand. In quiet moments, you will travel even cheaper with Staxi.

How long in advance should I book the taxi?
That depends on the location where you want to be picked up. Usually, there is a minimum booking time of 60 minutes. In some areas, it is longer and in others shorter.
Tip: When you book a taxi with the Staxi App, you can see precisely where the driver is and what time he or she will arrive.
How do I pay for the taxi?
At Staxi, you can pay for your taxi in any way you like. Because we work with fixed prices, it is possible to pre-pay via your trusted payment environment, such as iDeal, Sofort or PayPal. Of course, you can also pay securely online with your credit card. Without extra costs!
